ἀναιρέω

ἀν-αιρέω, -ῶ

[in LXX for הרג hi., מֵת hi., נכה hi., etc.;]

1. to take up: mid., Ac 7:21.

2. to take away, make an end of, destroy (for late exx. of various senses, v. MM, VGT, s.v.);

(a) of things (as freq. in cl. of laws, etc.): He 10:9;
