Bethsaida, a town on NE. shore of the Sea of Galilee: Lk 9:10. It is generally supposed that a second Β. on the W. shore is referred to in Mt 11:21, Mk 6:458:22, Lk 10:13, Jo 1:4512:21 (DB, i, 282 f.; but v. Swete on Mk 6:45).
