λιθάζω

1. to throw stones (Arist., Polyb., al.).

2. = λιθοβολέω (LXX, NT), to pelt with stones, to stone: c. acc. pers., Jo 8:[5]10:31-3311:8, Ac 14:10; pass., Ac 5:26, II Co 11:25, He 11:37 (v. DB, Art., "Crimes and punishments," and cf. κατα-λιθάζω).†
