the bride-chamber (Heb. חֻפָּה, LXX, παστός, Ps 18 (19):5, Jl 2:16): Mt 22:10 (WH; γάμος, RV); οἱ υἱοὶ τοῦ ν. (cf. cl. νυμφαγωγός, νυμφευτής), the bridegroom's friends who have charge of the nuptial arrangements: Mt 9:15, Mk 2:19, Lk 5:34.†
