to lay up, store up: of riches, Ja 5:3; id. c. dat. pers., Lk 12:21, II Co 12:14; c. acc. rei, I Co 16:2; θησαυροὺς ἑαυτῷ, Mt 6:19, 20; pass., II Pe 3:7; metaph., ὀργὴν ἑαντῷ, Ro 2:5 (cf. Pr 1:18, Pss. Sol 9:9).†
