ἁγνίζω

ἁγνίζω (> ἁγνός),

[in LXX always ceremonially, chiefly for קדשׁ;]

to purify, cleanse from defilement;

(a) ceremonially: Jo 11:55, Ac 21:24, 2624:18;

(b) morally: Ja 4:8, I Pe 1:22, I Jo 3:3.†
