ἐκ-λέγω

[in LXX chiefly for בָּחַר;]

to pick out, choose. In NT always mid. (exc. Lk 9:35, ἐκλελεγμένος, WH, ἀγαπητός, R, mg.), to pick out for oneself, choose(cf.
