ἔνδοξος, -ον

1. held in honour, of high repute: I Co 4:10.
2. glorious, splendid: of deeds, τά ἔ., Lk 13:17; of clothing, Lk 7:25. Metaph., ἐκκλησία, Eph 5:27 (cf. παράδοξος).†
