As the Heb. שָׂנֵא is sometimes found with the modified sense of indifference to or relative disregard for one thing in comparison with another (cf. Ge 29:30, 31, De 21:15, 16, Ma 1:3) so prob. μ. in the foll.: Mt 6:24, Lk 14:2616:13, Jo 12:25, Ro 9:13(LXX).†
