A prophet of Judah, who prophesied against Jeroboam, and wrote the history of Rehoboam and Abijah, 2Ch 9:29 12:15 13:22. Josephus and others are of opinion that he was sent to he, who was killed by a lion, 1Ki 13:1-25. Several other persons of this name are mentioned in Scripture, 1Ch 27:21Ezr 10:44Zec 1:1.
