OrJOSHUA, son of Josedech, was high priest of the Jews at their return from the captivity, and acted well his part in the restoration of the city, the temple, and the divine worship, Ezr 4:3 5:2. His name occurs in the prophecies of the time, Hag 1:1 2:2 Zec 3:1-10 6:11-15.
