Called also Zartnah and Zarthan, 1Ki 4:12 7:46; a town on the west side of the Jordan, near Bethshean and north of Succoth. The reflux of the Jordan at the crossing of the Israelites was marked as far north as Zaretan, Jos 3:16. SeeZEREDA.
