ne-ko'-da (neqodha'):

(1) Head of a family of Nethinim (Ezr 2:48;Ne 7:50; compare /RAPC 1Es 5:31).

(2) Head of a family which failed to prove its Israelite descent (Ezr 2:60;Ne 7:62; compare/RAPC 1Es 5:31,37). In the parallel verses of 1 Esdras the names are given thus: NOEBA andNEKODAN(which see).
