par'-sel: Properly "a little part," in Elizabethan English being used in almost any sense. In the King James Version ofGe 33:19;Jos 24:32;Ru 4:3;1Ch 11:13,14it is the translation of chelqah;Joh 4:5of chorion--both the Greek and Hebrew words meaning a "piece of land." the Revised Version (British and American) writes "plot" in1Ch 11:13,14, but if the change was needed at all, it should have been made throughout.
