ἀσεβέω
Etym. from ἀσεβής
1. "to be impious, to act profanely, sin against the gods"; εἴς τινα or τι Hdt., Eur.; περί τινα or τι Hdt., Xen.
2. c. acc. pers. "to sin against" him, Aesch.; hence in Pass., ἠσέβηται οὐδέν no "sin has been committed", Andoc.
