"to live, pass one's life" (whereas ζάω properly means "to live, exist)", Il., etc.; ἀπ᾽ αὐτῶν ὧν αὐτὸς βεβίωκεν from the very "actions of" his own "life", Dem.; hence in Pass., τὰ σοὶ κἀμοὶ βεβιωμένα "the actions of" our "life", id=Dem.; impers., βεβίωταί μοι "I have lived", Lat. vixi, id=Dem.:—Mid. in act. sense, Hdt.
