II. "reaching to heaven, high as heaven", οὐρ. κίων, of Aetna, Pind.; ἐλάτης οὐράνιος κλάδος Eur.; σκέλος οὐράνιον ἐκλακτίζειν, ῥίπτειν to kick up "sky-high", Ar.
2. metaph. "enormous, awful, furious", οὐρ. ἄχη Aesch.; οὐράνιόν γ᾽ ὅσον, like θαυμάσιον ὅσον, Lat. immane quantum, Ar.: —οὐράνια, as adv. "vehemently", Eur.
