Stone

n.

a concretion of earth, as clay, lime, silex, &c. usually combined with some kind of air, and often with sulphur or a metal; stones are hard, insoluble in water, inductile and unmalleable; also a concretion in the kidneys or bladder, a case containing the kernel of a seed, a testicle, a weight of 14 lb. (in Eng. the stone is 8, 12, 14, or 16 lb.)
