UNGRA'CIOUS, adjective

1. Wicked; odious; hateful.

2. Offensive; unpleasing; as ungracious manners.

3. Unacceptable; not well received; not favored.

Any thing of grace towards the Irish rebels was as ungracious at Oxford as at London.
