‖Ac′i‐ne″tæ (ăs′ĭ‐nē″tē), n. pl. [NL., fr. Gr. ακινητοσ̓ immovable.] (Zoöl.) A group of suctorial Infusoria, which in the adult stage are stationary. See Suctoria.
