‖Ac″ti‐no‐zo″a (�), n. pl. [Gr. �, �, ray + ζω̑ον animal.] (Zoöl.) A group of Cœlenterata, comprising the Anthozoa and Ctenophora. The sea anemone, or actinia, is a familiar example.
