Ad‐dit″a‐ment (ăd‐dĭt″ȧ‐ment), n. [L. additamentum, fr. additus, p. p. of addere to add.] An addition, or a thing added. Fuller.

My persuasion that the latter verses of the chapter were an additament of a later age.
