{ Am‐ba″ry (?), n., orAmbary hemp }. [Hind. ambārā, ambārī.] A valuable East Indian fiber plant (Hibiscus cannabinus), or its fiber, which is used throughout India for making ropes, cordage, and a coarse canvas and sackcloth; — called also brown Indian hemp.
