‖An′tho‐zo″a (�), n. pl. [NL., fr. Gr. ἄνθοσ flower + � animal.] (Zoöl.) The class of the Cœlenterata which includes the corals and sea anemones. The three principal groups or orders are Acyonaria, Actinaria, and Madreporaria.
