Ap′o‐tac″tite (�), n. [LL. pl. apotactitae, Gr. �, fr. � set apart; � from + � to arrange, ordain.] (Eccl. Hist.) One of a sect of ancient Christians, who, in supposed imitation of the first believers, renounced all their possessions.
