‖Ar‐thro″di‐a (�), n. [NL., fr. Gr. �, fr. � well articulated; ἄρθρον a joint + � shape.] (Anat.) A form of diarthrodial articulation in which the articular surfaces are nearly flat, so that they form only an imperfect ball and socket.
