‖Ar‐thros″tra‐ca, n. pl. [NL., fr. Gr. ἄρθρον joint + � a shell.] (Zoöl.) One of the larger divisions of Crustacea, so called because the thorax and abdomen are both segmented; Tetradecapoda. It includes the Amphipoda and Isopoda.
