‖Bac‐chi″us (�), n.; pl.Bacchii (�). [L. Bacchius pes, Gr. ὁ Βακχει̑οσ (sc. πούσ foot).] (Pros.) A metrical foot composed of a short syllable and two long ones; according to some, two long and a short.
