{ Bar″y‐tone, Bar″i‐tone } (�), a. [Gr. βαρύτονοσ; βαρύσ heavy + τόνοσ tone.] 1. (Mus.) Grave and deep, as a kind of male voice.

2. (Greek Gram.) Not marked with an accent on the last syllable, the grave accent being understood.
