‖Ba‐tra″chi‐a (�), n. pl. [NL., fr. Gr. βατράχειοσ belonging to a frog, fr. βάτραχοσ frog.] (Zoöl.) The order of amphibians which includes the frogs and toads; the Anura. Sometimes the word is used in a wider sense as equivalent to Amphibia.
