‖Blas‐toid″e‐a (�), n. pl. [NL., fr. Gr. βλαστόσ sprout + -oid.] (Zoöl.) One of the divisions of Crinoidea found fossil in paleozoic rocks; pentremites. They are so named on account of their budlike form.
