Blen″ny (�), n.; pl.Blennies (�). [L. blennius, blendius, blendea, Gr. �, fr. � slime, mucus.] (Zoöl.) A marine fish of the genus Blennius or family Blenniidæ; — so called from its coating of mucus. The species are numerous.
