Blote (�), v. t. [imp. & p. p.Bloted; p. pr. & vb. n.Bloting.] [Cf. Sw. blöt-fisk soaked fish, fr. blöta to soak. See 1st Bloat.] To cure, as herrings, by salting and smoking them; to bloat.
