Bu‐col″ic (�), a. [L. bucolicus, Gr. �, fr. � cowherd, herdsman; � ox + (perh.) � race horse; cf. Skr. kal to drive: cf. F. bucolique. See Cow the animal.] Of or pertaining to the life and occupation of a shepherd; pastoral; rustic.
