‖Cec′i‐do‐my″i‐a (sĕs′ĭ‐dō̍‐mī″ĭ‐ȧ), n. [Nl., fr. Gr. κηκίσ, κηκι̑δοσ, a gall nut + μυι̑α a fly.] (Zoöl.) A genus of small dipterous files, including several very injurious species, as the Hessian fly. See Hessian fly.
