‖Cer′a‐to‐spon″gi‐æ (?), n. pl. [NL., fr. Gr. κέρασ, κέρατοσ horn + � sponge.] (Zoöl.) An order of sponges in which the skeleton consists of horny fibers. It includes all the commercial sponges.
