Chol″a‐gogue (kŏl″ȧ‐gŏg; 115), a. [Gr. χολαγωγόσ; χολή bile + αγωγὄσ leading, ἄγειν to lead: cf. F. cholagogue.] (Med.) Promoting the discharge of bile from the system. — n. An agent which promotes the discharge of bile from the system.
