‖Cli‐tel″lus (klĭ‐tĕl″lŭs), n. [NL., prob. fr. L. clitellae a packsadle.] (Zoöl.) A thickened glandular portion of the body of the adult earthworm, consisting of several united segments modified for reproductive purposes.
