Con‐stit″u‐ent (kŏn‐stĭt″ū̍‐ē̍nt), a. [L. constituens, -entis, p. pr. See Constitute.] 1. Serving to form, compose, or make up; elemental; component.

Body, soul, and reason are the three parts necessarily constituent of a man.
