‖Cys‐tid″e‐a (s?s–t?d″?–?), n. pl.(Zoöl.) An order of Crinoidea, mostly fossils of the Paleozoic rocks. They were usually roundish or egg-shaped, and often unsymmetrical; some were sessile, others had short stems.
