Das″y‐ure (dăs″ĭ‐ūr), n. [Gr. δασύσ thick, shaggy + ουρἄ tail: cf. F. dasyure.] (Zoöl.) A carnivorous marsupial quadruped of Australia, belonging to the genus Dasyurus. There are several species.
