Deprecation

Dep′re‐ca″tion (dĕp′rē̍‐kā″shŭn), n. [L. deprecatio; cf. F. déprécation.] 1. The act of deprecating; a praying against evil; prayer that an evil may be removed or prevented; strong expression of disapprobation.
