Dis‐mast″ (?), v. t. [imp. & p. p.Dismasted; p. pr. & vb. n.Dismasting.] [Pref. dis- + mast: cf. F. démâter.] To deprive of a mast of masts; to break and carry away the masts from; as, a storm dismasted the ship.
