Dromond

{ Drom″ond (?), orDrom″on (?) }. [OF. dromont, L. dromo, fr. Gr. δρόμων light vessel, prob. fr. δραμει̑ν to run. See Dromedary.] In the Middle Ages, a large, fast-sailing galley, or cutter; a large, swift war vessel. Fuller.
