‖Ec″bo‐le (ĕk″bō̍‐lē), n. [NL., fr. Gr. εκβολἤ a throwing out, a digression, fr. εκβἄλλειν to throw out; εκ̓ out of + βάλλειν to throw.] (Rhet.) A digression in which a person is introduced speaking his own words.
