Em‐bank″ (?), v. t. [imp. & p. p.Embanked (?); p. pr. & vb. n.Embanking.] [Pref. em- + bank. Cf. Imbank.] To throw up a bank so as to confine or to defend; to protect by a bank of earth or stone.
