‖En″cho‐dus (?), n. [NL., fr. Gr. � a spear + οδοὔσ, οδὄντοσ, a tooth.] (Paleon.) A genus of extinct Cretaceous fishes; — so named from their spear-shaped teeth. They were allied to the pike (Esox).
