‖E′o‐sau″rus (?), n. [NL., fr. Gr. ηὤσ dawn + σαυ̑ροσ lizard.] (Paleon.) An extinct marine reptile from the coal measures of Nova Scotia; — so named because supposed to be of the earliest known reptiles.
