E‐rased″ (ē̍‐rāst″), p. p. & a. 1. Rubbed or scraped out; effaced; obliterated.

2. (Her.) Represented with jagged and uneven edges, as is torn off; — used esp. of the head or limb of a beast. Cf. Couped.
