‖Ex′o‐rhi″za (ĕks′ō̍‐rī″zȧ), n.; pl.Exorhizæ (–zē). [NL. fr. Gr. ἔξω outside + ρἴζα root.] (Bot.) A plant Whose radicle is not inclosed or sheathed by the cotyledons or plumule. Gray.
